Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif announced on Monday to launch an offensive against militants in rural and urban areas of the country in an apparent expansion of the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata).

“One Zarb-e-Azb is being fought in the tribal areas and a second Zarb-e-Azb will be fought against those who are hiding in our cities and villages,” the premier said, while chairing a four hour long high-level counter terrorism meeting, according to the PM Office.

The premier vowed that a decisive battle would be fought against all militants, including those responsible for the Hazara Town in Quetta and the Peshawar Church attack.

“The government will not differentiate between terrorists, and their facilitators will also be taken out, PM said.

“Terrorism and sectarianism are a cancer for this country and now the time has come to root it out,” the premier said.

Sources added the high-level meeting discussed various plans, including overhauling of criminal justice, and a new administrative and legislative system in the country.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, SAFRON Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt and special assistants to the premier Khawaja Zaheer and Barrister Zafarulaah attended the meeting.

Only time will tell Mr.Prime Minister
So far even after this tragedy only the army has been proactive in pursuing the militants
Some of our politicians are still acting as apologists...the judiciary is in over drive mode trying to save the terrorists
But but but if you could just deliver on these promises you have my vote....not only for yourself but for the coming generations of the Sharif family

Don't worry mate, All politicians know they do not have any choice but to deliver to the nation now .. before its out of their hands .. that is why IK, NS and others in line with army ..

nation asking for revenge and army is preparing for it .. these people know time for politics is over now .. there wont be any other chance for these parties ..

There are law coming against hate preaching, terrorist etc .. actually the main problem is political parties from last 10 years did made law according to the ground realities and we are paying the heavy price for it now ...

Terrorism and sectarianism cannot be fought merely with the sword. If done so, it may result in some grave counter-effects.

And I cannot emphasize "grave" enough.

as i said only time will tell
even if the laws are made application is a big issue
the first step should be regulation of all madressahs and their content
the recommendations from the committee will come out tomorrow...if even after this much outcry they can't agree on that thn there is no hope

. .
Ban Madrissas (militant production facilities) first rather than starting street fighting.
