A riddle - earn and yearn?

Ok, I was just getting bored with all the bashings around and instead started to rhyme few things together. Here is something I came up with. Nothing special.

Kind of a riddle, thought you might be interested in. You are welcome to hone

Earn and Yearn

I 'yearn' to 'earn'.

But I still can't decide

the place of this 'y'.

Frosty autumn of my life, or before spring of an 'earn'?

As you cast your eyes ahead
Take heed of salt and bread
Make your stand on ground or rock
Fate will soon sound her knock
Time will come to sing your song
A filled purse will make it long
Keep aside your dreams for now
Earn first, use your plough
At the end with frost on ground
Yearn your will, it shall be found.

Cause yearning won't satisfy your appetite of stomach , respect, fame wealth etc...!
Yearn is often masked by earn....

For a moment I took the bold part for something like this:

"I work for pay, totally volunteer"

And thanks for the time. As I wrote in first post - nothing serious, just one of those moments, you know.
