A father poisons his 5 children, commits suicide in Layyah[Punjab]. NGOs 'activists' liberals silent

An extremely sad and shameful incident, and the response of so-called 'civil society', foreign funded activists even more shameful.

A father in Layyah poisoned and killed five of his children before ingesting pesticide himself on Thursday, police officials told DawnNews.

Tariq Ismail, a resident of Chowk Azam, gave his four daughters and son ─ ages ranging from six to 12-years-old ─ a pesticide dissolved in a drink which killed them instantly, after which he also consumed the poisonous substance allegedly due to his strained relationship with his family after his divorce.

Ismail's mother told reporters that his wife had sought a divorce from him over a year ago, which put a great deal of pressure on his relationship with his family members and his finances.

Ismail's children died after ingesting the poison. Doctors attempted to save Ismail, whose own condition was deemed critical. He died while being shifted to Nishtar Hospital Multan.

This got a tiny portion on this shameless Dawn Newspaper, whereas the activists and NGOs remained shamelessly silent on this issue. IF an issue does'nt involve a sectarian, woman, mullah, blasphemy these activists will not even budge. They only do emotional blackmail when required by their foreign paymasters.

News of poor families committing suicide is non-issue compared to blasphemy related. Didn't you get that memo @A.A. Khan ?

We have become immune to deaths and miseries of poor. There's no excitement to raise a voice for the poor, nah, all our efforts are elsewhere.

Shameful! Where are all the others who claim moral high grounds on everything - not even condemnation/lanat from them on those responsible for this?

As said before, this is everyday news and poor are insects who do not matter.
