New poll shows 64% Taiwanese believe China mainland will never launch reunification war. 65% believe US will send troops to protect Taiwan if war happens. And 58% believe Japan will sent troops to protect Taiwan.

Fact is free press society is full of braiwashing. From Taiwan case, mainland Chinese now believe democracy and freedom won't make people more intelligent, open minded, rational, tolerant. Quit opposite to that. Taiwanese are regarded as ignorant, arrogant, narrow minded "green frogs". Taiwan is a place full of hatred to China mainland, to different political color. Kids hate their parents for holding different political views. Taiwan is a highly politicalized place.

We don't admire Taiwan and its democracy. Not at all. Before the pandemic, millions tourists from China mainland visited Taiwan. No one illegally stayed there.

I am surprised they never put 99% believe China will never launch reunification war.

That is some politicans personal move. It doesn't mean EU backs Taiwan.

They are low ranking officers plus if they are really backing. They need to show sincerity by forgo one China policy and recognised Taiwan independent. Not NATO (No Action Talk Only).

That is some politicans personal move. It doesn't mean EU backs Taiwan.

It will work and will break the myth PRC not willing to start war for Taiwan. Plus it will not escalate the situation to full island recapture that result heavy losses of human life for both side.

Thatcher was reluctant to handover HK until Deng Xiaoping told her point blank that PLA will march in.

To sweeten the deal, China told UK that UK can continue control the judiciary, and China will continue to allow UK proxy to control HK executive. Hence the 1997 annexation is mostly a formality. Recently UK abuse it and use all her proxy to wage a color revolution. China then took much of these prerogatives back. It is time to cleanse the judiciary.

UK lost her pants in 2020 color revolution. Her leaders are stupid. She should lie low and hope China will allow UK de facto to control HK forever.
