3 officers, Mumtaz Zardari handed to NAB for corruption probe

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – 3 officers and Mumtaz Zardari, a front man of many influential political personalities, have on Friday been handed over to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on a 14-day remand for corruption probe, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, Accountability Bureau Sindh presented three officers allegedly involved in corruption including TMO Sehwan Zahoor Shahani, Rehmat Memon and Idrees Memon before the Accountability Court. Demanding 14-day physicalremand from the court, NAB prosecutor Ehtisham said that the suspects have to be probed for corruption charges worth millions of rupees. He said that the suspects have allegedly been working for influential personalities.
After listening to the arguments, the court handed the suspects over to NAB on a 14-day physical remand. NAB officials also presented TMO Sajawal Mumtaz Zardari, who allegedly worked as a front man for an influential political personality belonging to Sindh, before the court for remand. Special Public Prosecutor NAB told the court that the suspect was involved in corruption worth millions of rupees. He said that the suspect had to be inquired for corruption of Rs. 100 million. He also told the court that the suspect had other aides who were still at large and needed to be caught.
The court granted 14-day physical remand of the suspect and handed him over to the NAB officials.
