2 FC men dead in Zhob blast.

QUETTA - Two personnel of Frontier Corps (FC) were killed in a bomb blast near FC headquarters in Zhob district, some 320 kilometers away from Quetta, in the wee hours on Friday.According to Frontier Corps officials, FC personnel confiscated a suspicious Serf Jeep in Kanoki area of Zhob and during search recovered landmines and explosives in a large quality. The explosives were being shifted when the blast occurred in the vehicle just 200 meters away from FC headquarters claiming lives of two FC personnel on the spot, they said. The deceased were identified as Sepoy Abdul Aziz and Muhammad Wakeel.They said about 50 landmines, four thousand meter wire, one cotton fuse, two cotton detonators and 50kg explosives were seized from the vehicle.Explosives were being smuggled to Quetta and interior Balochistan for carrying out subversive activities. Had the accused been succeeded in their plan it would have caused huge destruction, FC officials said.Sources said that two accused were also arrested by FC men who had been shifted to unknown place for interrogation.Meanwhile, IGFC Balochistan Major General Obaidullah Khan lauded FC Zhob and paid rich tribute to martyred personnel who laid their lives and protected the province from a big subversive act.A case has been registered against the unknown persons and investigation is underway.
