11 celebrities who ride Royal Enfield motorcycles
Posted on January 11, 2018 by CarToq Editor
From cricketers to movie stars, the Royal Enfield brand is back and how. Today, we take a look at some of celebrities who ride Royal Enfields – retro modern motorcycles for the world.

Nana Patekar

Noted Bollywood and Marathi actor Nana Patekar was spotted riding a Royal Enfield Desert Storm 500 on the streets of Mumbai. The Desert Storm is a 500 cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield’s Classic range. It makes 27.2 Bhp-41.3 Nm, and gets fuel injection and a 5 speed manual gearbox. Prices of the Desert Storm 500 start from Rs. 1.81 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi.

Mohanlal

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is now the owner of a spanking new Royal Enfield Classic Chrome 500. Meanwhile, the Bullet 350 is very big in Kerala, which along with Punjab is one of the largest markets for the retro motorcycle brand. In fact, Royal Enfield had to ship out heavy crank, cast iron engined Std 350s to markets such as Kerala and Punjab after buyers there rejected the lighter crank versions.

John Abraham

John Abraham is one of Bollywood’s foremost motorcycle enthusiasts. Apart from his Yamahas, the man also has a Royal Enfield. The big difference here is that the actor’s Royal Enfield is a custom board tracker build from Rajputana Customs.

Gul Panag

Gul Panag is one of the few women celebrities who rides motorcycles actively. The woman has been spotted multiple times riding her cast iron engined Royal Enfield Electra 350 on Bombay roads. And she’s gone on record to say that she prefers the steady thump of the cast iron engined Royal Enfields to the hollower exhaust note of the UCEs.

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan is one of Bollywood’s more recent ceonverts to the Royal Enfield brand. the man rides a 500cc unit construction engined Royal Enfield that’s custom painted in green.

Aditya Roy Kapoor

Actor Aditya Roy Kapoor has more than one Royal Enfield, and both his bikes are pre-unit construction engined ones. On some occassions, the actor has been spotted riding a Royal Enfield cast iron 500 in black, and on others, he’s been seen astride the AVL engined Machismo 500 LB.

Jackie Shroff

Actor Jackie Shroff takes the cake when it comes to the wildest Royal Enfield ever owned by a celebrity. The man commissioned Varenchi Customs’ Akshai Varde to build him a custom bike based on a Bullet. Dubbed the Skeletor, this Royal Enfield custom is one bike that Nicholas Cage wouldn’t mind for his next Ghost Rider franchise.

Jonty Rhodes

South African cricketer turned fielding coach for the Mumbai Indians IPL team, Jonty Rhodes, is in love with India, so much so that the man named his daughter after the country. His India connection goes further for he rides a Royal Enfield Classic 500, which perhaps is the finest retro rides that the country has to offer.

Jay Leno

American talk show host Jay Leno is a massive car and motorcycle nut. Among the big bunch of two and four wheeled exotics that adorn the Leno garage, the Royal Enfield Classic Chrome 500 is one more exotic. And Jay Leno actually rides his Royal Enfield around.

Billy Joel

American song writing legend Billy Joel loves motorcycles, often making them a part of his music tours. Apart from Harley Davidsons, Billy Joel also has his distinctive Royal Enfields.

Brad Pitt

When he’s off the grease paint, Brad Pitt goes back to his motorcycles. This motorcycle nut has been spotted riding an old school Royal Enfield Bullet 350, rounding off the long list of celebrities who favour this two wheeled British-Indian legend.

In cruisers enfields just dont stand out bruv
It's just that India loves Enfield regardless of how many better bikes are available.
As said in the article, Kerala and Punjab (the biggest markets) both rejected lighter new versions, so RE had to give them the old heavy cast iron ones.

It has become a stupid symbol of masculinity.

If you really want a jhakas cruiser. Then many jap offerings are even sometimes better than Harleys.

Should change the title to "11 celebrities who like their motorcycles unreliable and noisy".
Motorcycles are meant to be noisy. Whats the point if you cant hear engine roaring. Unreliable well cant comment on enfield.

.
Enfields are notorious pieces of junk. Especially when there are more modern, fuel efficient offerings available.

And this notorious piece of junk had enjoyed highest growth rate compared to any other motorcycle brand across the globe in 350cc or above segment. And they sell a model that almost 100yrs old and it sells faster then hot cake :D

This doesn't bother us, because whatever you can get your hands on, we will always be able to use or ride better than you.
