If there is no industries in Kerala where are all those educated graduates get employment........ Oh. wait, they move to other states to get jobs. Kerala is successful because of remittance from abroad and other states. No other state gets more remittance per share of their GDP than Kerala.

This is the biggest problem with the Indian work culture. In regard to the steel for ship building, it did not take much effort by India to make it locally, but they only did it after nobody will sell to them. Why can't they first try to make stuff rather than buying which they can very well make.
At the present time, we can equate the gap between India and China to the gap between Pakistan and India. We are so far behind in literally every field including defense. Hope the dumb politicians realize this and work towards reducing this gap.
