    Losing My Religion?

This thread is an exercise in circular logic and best viewed from a distance: God can create anything. God can do anything. Can God create a stone so big He cannot lift Himself? ================ @Aeronaut or any other Mod Please approve this post. Thanks.

Kargil Ghazi (Veteran) Shares His Story Of Bravery.

Yes, the people defending the borders are brave indeed. But "invincible" depends on the economy in the long run.

    any doctors in here??

Not just step 1. You need to be good across 1, 2 and CSA, and then interview well, and then with luck and a divine push ...... And that is a bloody long, expensive and arduous proposition. Only a few make it through if existing numbers are anything to go by, and it is not getting any easier I know.

I think ECFMG follows WHO listings, but I am not sure. At least it does not matter to you since your school is in both lists. Getting good USMLE scores would help in getting a residency, I think.

    any doctors in here??

Yes, I think you are right that WHO recognition is needed for sitting the USMLE. The inclusion of newer schools means that good medical education is expanding in Pakistan, which is great. Somebody told me that getting a residency is not easy these days, but the more established colleges have...

Pakistan steps towards 'Full-Spectrum Nuclear Deterrence'.

I merely tried to answer your earlier question as to WHY Pakistan would want NSG membership, that is all. I also noted why we are not likely to get in anytime soon too.

Pakistan steps towards 'Full-Spectrum Nuclear Deterrence'.

NSG rules forbid nuclear trade with a country which has not signed the NPT such as India and Pakistan. Membership is useful because it opens up good sources for high technology. However, India was given a waiver due to US influence, but Pakistan was not.

I can understand our disagreement. Pakistan will not be an NSG member anytime soon.

Oh, I am often wrong, but never in doubt! :D Seriously though, I do agree with you in hoping that things improve.

Pakistan steps towards 'Full-Spectrum Nuclear Deterrence'.

That would be highly unlikely, unless major concessions are offered in return. Our best bet for such equipment is China only, not NSG.

‘Mini-budget’ presages massive hike in tariffs

If what the IMF is asking us to do have the desired effects, then things may start to improve after two to three years. The real risk is that we will make a half-hearted attempt at reforms and dig ourselves deeper into the hole we are already in. The problems are mounting so steeply that even...
