New Delhi: This year promises to bring about some decisive and much-needed capability enhancement for the Indian military, with some...
In terms of what? Because the way I see it, the surface combatant classes on IN are all similar within the class. You can see significant changes between P-15A and P-15B, but you're not likely to see any changes within the 4 ships of P-15B class. Just like you didn't see any changes among the 3...
I think we all know how that engagement ended and who sank to the bottom of the sea as a result.
Also the same that set Karachi on fire, twice.

Wow, why is a 4+ month old article being revived now?
That said, the existence of the Next Generation Destroyer (NGD) project is not a secret, it's been known ever since the CWP&A spoke about it. At that time it was estimated to be in the region of 13,000 tons (very similar in displacement to...
There is that, which is why I said "not all that different". But it is surprising to see the main multifunction radar on a supposed 4000+ ton frigate being the same one as on a 1300-ton corvette.
I reckon this is not what PLAN wants to use as their main frigate radar going forward? I think it...
Btw, the 'APAR' radar on these ships (SR-2410C) is the same one as on the latter batch of Bangladesh Navy Type-056 (aka C13B) corvettes, namely the BNS Shongram and Prottasha, pennant F113 and F114 respectively:
In all honesty...sensors-wise, the 054P isn't all that different from the...
If these CGIs (or the scale model displayed at the ceremony) are accurate, then it is not an integrated mast. It's the same traditional mast as the PLAN 054As, except the radar is a new APAR instead of the PESA which was the Chinese Fregat-M2 'Top Plate' copy.
Pakistani products? At first I was puzzled by what they mean...then I found out.
:enjoy: I'm surprised there are actually some things India imports even from pak. We need to step up indigenous manufacturing of mascara etc. Immediately lol.
This whole joint military drill thing is being blown out of proportions by the ill-informed media and ill-informed members here.
It has nothing to do with Russia's relations with India. We are still their biggest defence partner internationally.
Even India conducts joint exercises with China...
Firstly you're a bland moron. Secondly, stealth only reduces the distance at which you're detected, doesn't make anything invisible. Unless you're saying there is absolutely no radar between Abbotabad and Afghan border, the US helos didn't get there simply because they were stealthy, but because...
Helicopters intruding in pak airspace to kill terrorists. Hmm. ...that's happened before.
It's impossible to keep whole Loc under surveillance 24x7. If choppers don't want to be seen, they can fly low and they won't be seen by any long range airspace surveillance radar.
The following image from TRISHUL (which was shown in a presentation by NPOL for the SSS I-12 submarine sonar suite) remains the only glimpse available at what the S-5 SSBN could look like. Is this a definitive design/concept? Or just a reference image? Only time will tell.
As noted, the design...
