India vows support for Iran nuclear program

There is a whole lot of difference between individual thought and collective thought. Why do you feel betrayed, though? I have always felt that Iran is a country that has a tight grasp on foreign policy, as abrasive that might be.

India vows support for Iran nuclear program

You are Iranian. Why delegate your emotions to others? What do you feel?

Sexual assaults by US military in Japan unlikely to end in prison

That isn't the official narrative offered by the current administration(and the one before it) or the US supreme court: 'Extraordinary rendition': U.S. Supreme Court lets stand appeals court ruling against five foreign men in 'extraordinary rendition' case - Los Angeles Times So your point...

Sexual assaults by US military in Japan unlikely to end in prison

Not really. The official excuse as stated by the US administration was "national security."

Sexual assaults by US military in Japan unlikely to end in prison

It actually did. The point I was trying to make with illegal renditions is that the American courts have earlier erroneously ruled in favor of the state merely on the pretext of national security. Torture and individual rights be damned !!! You know as well as I that nothing has been rectified!!!

Sexual assaults by US military in Japan unlikely to end in prison

Really? If you did go through the whole documentary, it does expound the multiple ways such assaults were attempted to be swept under the carpet. Not too different from the way the US military tried to draw a curtain on its torture program overseas and have American courts have "extraordinary...

Sexual assaults by US military in Japan unlikely to end in prison

And what exactly is open information? I think the debate is on the miscarriage of justice when dealing with such cases. There is a brilliant documentary, "The Invisible War" that shines a light on such frequent miscarriages when it comes to the US armed forces and institutionalized rape within...

Could Iran and India be Afghanistan’s ‘Plan B?’

I don't think there is any harm in trying to forge a consensus amongst friends over Afghanistan. Even if we gamble and lose, it will only be money and we can afford to pick up a few bills. On the other hand, the potential advantages if it clicks would be enormous.

Scientists develop new halal meat test

I like it how you sidestepped 90% of my response and zoned in on the part where I was expressing my personal opinion. Smart, but as usual, not smart enough. ;) Who gives a shit on the business Halal makes or what Muslim countries do in their deserts. Sadly, the forecast isn't looking too...

Greek minister terms Pak,Bangladesh illegal immigrants ‘tragedy’

As if the Australians worship Pakistanis out there!!! I hear a state welcome is extended to all those Pakistani boat refugees who turn up on their shores like washed up jellyfish!!! The difference is that Indians don't go around advocating their views like you do when it is plainly clear...

Scientists develop new halal meat test

What debates and which community is being referred to here? Citations and links would be appreciated. If you meant debates amongst Muslim "scholars" and within the Islamic community, I would unfortunately have to disagree as I don't recognize their expertise on the matter of animal welfare(or...

    India's Olympic Achievement: Indifference

That notion I do agree with wholeheartedly. The point I was trying to convey was one of prioritization. To cite an example, why do totalitarian systems like the erstwhile SU, Russia or China concentrate on gymnastics? It's because there are a bunch of medals to be won under that discipline and...

    India's Olympic Achievement: Indifference

I do. He is the exception that proves the rule, even the Chinese saw him as a friggin miracle. Let's take the example that the author talks about, North Korea. North Korea at the Olympics - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia As you would notice, the events that they have won medals in have...

Does your identity decide your worldview

Like duh. Do you argue against the contention that India is indeed very advanced when it comes to space technology? What's wrong with one of the chief architects taking some credit for it?

Does your identity decide your worldview

Unless you have a poor grasp of English, you did put across your views in direct contrast with his. And if you take in the context Mr. Kalam is advocating for, India is an elite group of nations as he did predict we would be.
