Bangladesh to be second best performer this year

In growth rate yes, but not in per capita income. If BD can continue its stellar performance for 1 decade more, that might change the per capita income scenario as well.

Rajasthan village tense as Dalit bride wants groom to ride a mare

Its good to see social change happening. Old people will resist it and most likely be violent. But change is inevitable..market economics is destroying these old social boundaries.

Indian diaspora is world’s largest at 16m: UN

Give it a while longer. You will add fund managers to the list as well. Indians have reached the critical point in international finance as well- to the point that they have started hiring other Indians (just like how it started with IT). Global fund managers based out of Singapore and Dubai...

Crackdown on Jaish must lead to long-term dismantling of militant groups

Pakistanis arguing that India centric terrorists must be reined in..against the policy of Pakistani military? Thats new. I wonder how much traction it will get.

‘Don’t go back to those dirty Indians’: The marines’ case fuels fascist sentiments in Italy

But for the world barring India, that is the sad reality. A man's blood is valued by the nation he comes from..and that nations economics, power and prestige define it. An Italian's blood is worth more than a Chinese's blood which is worth more than an Indian's blood which is worth more than a...

    Pakistan to manufacture cellphones, smartphones

Hopefully yes, but there is no certainty. I used the word 'trying' because the last GoI also tried to give a thrust to electronics manufacturing. This started after an internal report that by 2020, India's electronics import bill will exceed the petroleum import bill! and that attempt failed...

Turkish businesses to invest in radio cabs in Punjab

Yeah but Radio Taxis are losing market share heavily and steadily to Ola and Uber in India. From running all over the city, they are now mostly limited to Airports and Railway stations. I'd wager in another 5 years, Radio Taxis would be gone.

C for CPEC, Callousness and Controversy

No, but we are all humans are we not. All capable of good and all capable of bad. Icarus, I will say this and only this much , because I am a person of analysis...and because me being an Indian automatically means that if I say its 'day' outside, Pakistanis would make it out to be 'night'...

Saudi crown prince’s visit to Pakistan: A fly-on-the-wall review

That's a long time away. For the reasons that @Yaduveer mentions. But you are not. Militarily - Turkey and Iran are both more powerful than Pakistan save ofcourse for nuclear weapons. But then again, nuclear weapons are samson options and don't constitute power in the sense that can be deployed...

Indian students walk barefoot on broken glass

Competition in India is very high. Its perform or perish for the kids. That much is true enough. But apart from that I think its the parents who add extra pressure on students to clear IIT and IIM exams. That becomes a trigger for kids to do stupid things.
