Yes and it only worked in South Africa. He was pretty hypocritic about it in the subcontinent as evident from the passages I have quoted from Mr. Seervai's book.
His book is called, Partition of India: Legend and Reality. Be sure to get the latest edition (I think it is 1994).
You...
Pakistan has vintage Crotales, Hq-1 and Hq-2 currently and in addition the shoulder fired Anzas. It is said that they are on the hunt of more sophisticated SAMs. FT-2000A being one of them (Chinese).
You don't get it. What Ayesha Jalal said was true in the 'essence' what Congress had nurtured, not what they explicitely demanded. You are too keen to pass judgements without enquiring about the entire issue here. Your quoting of parts of my post out of context does no good. If you...
Yes that is why my use of the wording 'main advantage'. The Russians have not been able to come up with Stealth technology which is on par with US tech.
Dont worry my friend, I knew this would come sooner or later. How is the book his OPINION when he is only simplyfying it for the common reader to understand what the CLASSIFIED documents in British Government's lockers contained for all those years?
He is merely writing in his own words...
I'm not against any particular fighter jet but just to set some facts straight, the only main advantage the F-22 has over Su-35 (Russia's most advanced jet currently) is 'stealth'.
Su-27??????? What on earth happened to Su-30 and Su-35 - one of the most sophisticated aircrafts around?!?! Su-27 is nothing compared to those two!*shocked*
You fail to see the issue at hand here. The main problem that people had was the manner in which Gandhi took the decision. When the 'rules' of the Home League clearly stated that a motion cannot be passed without three-fourth's majority and without a notice being given, Gandhi let it...
To my knowledge, this is currently not possible in Pakistan's case. It is a highly sophisticated technology residing in US and Russian hands only I believe. Multiple warheads on a single missile would take Pakistan quite some time, that is, if it decides to take that route.

That's one link to give you a 'jist' of what it was all about.
Right now I would not go in to it as that is not the 'objective' of opening this thread. This thread is in response to Mr. Hammers request for quotes and...
Thats not surprising at all. Almost every Christian and Hindu that I've met in Pakistan, don't want to be a part of India and consider themselves as much Pakistani as anyone else.
P.S. Hammer, a response to your post has been made in a NEW thread in the History Forums area under the...
