Countdown to launch India’s own GPS begins

It doesn't enhance signals. what it does is, improves the position accuracy by reading out from 3 different signals. SO in the scenario where the receiver is not getting optimal signal strengthen, it can still accurately predict the position by using error corrections based on 3 different signals.

Countdown to launch India’s own GPS begins

China mobiiles are not that popular in India. keeping that aside, china's biggest advantage is its manufacturing ecosystem. But I am not sure how much they have turned that into solid gains in terms of beidou market share in china. As far as accuracy and multi-system support is concerned, India...

Countdown to launch India’s own GPS begins

nop. existing mobile phones doesn't have IRNSS receivers. So IRNSS will not be available anytime soon on mobile phones especially phones made outside of India, which most of them are anyway. ISRO/GOI will have to convince/force international vendors like apple, samsung, htc etc to integrate...

India’s exclusive met satellite INSAT-3D to be launched in July

Indias only operational launch vehicle PSLV can launch max 1500 Kgs sats to GTO, max 1900 kgs sats to SSO and 3500 kgs to LEO (could launch an OV with single human into 300-400 km orbit). INSAT series sats weigh more than 2000kg and are put in GTO, so PSLV cannot launch them. The other...

Another Milestone Missed, Panic Button Pushed On Tejas

WHy?? That can be achieved even after induction ,1-2 years. medium or heavy doesnt matter, loaded fighters seldom go beyond 5-6 gs. Its only done in the airshows. in dogfights you will have to drop load especially bombs for 8-9g maneuvers.

Another Milestone Missed, Panic Button Pushed On Tejas

Fully loaded fighter can only perform 5-6gs. F35 is not limited to 5gs because it relies on stealth, but because its FBW FLCS hasnt be certified beyond 5g. Same is the case with LCA being limited to 6gs. IAF wont suffer by inducting Tejas with 6g performance and later opening up the envelope...

Another Milestone Missed, Panic Button Pushed On Tejas

Have you done any research on this? do you understand a fully loaded plane cannot do 9gs? even the F35 was restricted to 5gs not much long ago. And performing 9 gs all the time also has adeverse impacts on the structural life of a plane. ADA will soon be testing tejas for 10-15gs to establish...

Another Milestone Missed, Panic Button Pushed On Tejas

LOL!! Who said design is flawed?? problem is there because of ADA's aversion to taking risks in flight testing because of 1) no prior testing experience in FBW FLCS, 2) limited number of test vehicles and 3) some gandu chutiyas in our system who always looked for a chance to cancel this...

It also not carrying all the weapons. same can be done with LCA as it envelope that is limited by the software can be opened up even after induction with modifications in the software. Similarly more BVRAAMS can also be added. LCA MK1 design has matured and no more modifications will be made...
