@gambit Is this an advantage? The F-35 loaded with internal weapons, but the Typhoon carries it weapons externally. Will that affect the Typhoon's 'mission' effectiveness.

What if it does? THe EF would be loaded with heavy ordinance that would hinder its own maneuverability slowing it down aerodynamically, while the F-35 would be clean and it would be over reaching mach one easily.

From looking at this aircraft it uses old techniques to neutralize the aerodynamic problems. This is one weird aircraft I have to say. Sorry for reviving this thread :D.

Errr... not really. The designers had avoided many sensitive technology on the Rq-170. For example grilled intakes.

@gambit Sorry to bother you again, but about the RQ-170 the landing gears looks like the t-6 texan. Does it provide a safe (or cheap) structural advantage of the aircraft? What advantages and disadvantages does these types of landing gear has. Thank you and cheers.

Actually I believe they didn't add any self destruct 'feature' to the drone, because it is going to be way to heavy than it is required to be, plus expensive which the USAF is not aiming to be in this project. I am confused in the first place why didn't Iran showed the landing gear door? It...
