Russia has no questions to China about “copying” military equipment

I hope all the doubters and haters will now shut up about "illegal copying" blah blah blah.

    PAF's possible answer to MRCA

Other than F-16, F-18 and MiG-35, the other MRCA contenders have not really been 'proven' - I mean what 'real' conflicts have Rafale, Typhoon or Gripen been in? Pakistan already gets fighters from USA, but unlikely to get any from Russia. That's why PAF is looking to buy more F-16s as...

US report claims China shoots down its own satellite

"Nothing to boast about" - haha good one. Only 3 countries posses that capability at the moment, so it is something to boast about.

    PAF's possible answer to MRCA

PAF and NESCOM are developing Burraq that will be armed with laser guided A2G missiles. There are also possibilities from other countries like China or Turkey. Israel's HARPY does exactly that (except it isn't supersonic).

    JH-7A's WS-9 Qinling engine

This thread is about WS-9, a licensed copy of the Rolls-Royce Spey Mk202. Why do you mention WS-10A (which is based on WS-6) and how do you come to the conclusion that it's not indigenous/indigenized?

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

I was actually trying to explain why China has the largest number of internet users. You asserted that it was just down to population, but I was trying to pointed out that India has the closest population but only 7% are online (whereas China has 27% online). I wasn't trying to compare...

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

It was predicted based upon polls of asking people how they were going to vote. It doesn't mean people consciously voted for a hung parliament. It just means that no particular party convinced the people strongly enough to vote for them. I didn't say a coalition government was bad, just...

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

China promotes and protects Tibetan culture. Tibetan culture attracts tourism. Ethnic Tibetans get more rights than Hans.

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

You forget that China has a very large population of buddhists.

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

But you seem to keep forgetting that the current human rights situation in Tibet is the best it's had in its history. Show me when it has been better. And I can see why the Chinese would get so angry at this issue. They liberated the masses of serfs and gave them rights yet they are...

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

These "public enquiries" are affected by politics have resulted and "white-washes", the politicians can hand-pick people to chair these enquiries. The investigations into allegations of murder and torture require the military to investigate themselves - perfect opportunitiy for cover-ups...

Britain will lose by criticizing China on Tibet issue

^^An inconvenient truth that is never acknowledge by the west or the Dalai Lama and his cronies. Speak against injustice? Sorry but with all the torture and deaths of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan, Britain cannot preach from the moral highground. True democracy? - Are you sure because...

    PAF's possible answer to MRCA

J-10B would definitely give PAF a fighter with capabilities comparable to F-16E Block 60. J-10B will have its own AESA radar, but even if it has a shorter range than AN/APG-80, well that's what AWACS are for.

    Cold War

Soviet image of an Afghan crowd, Circa 1980. Note the crowd is wearing Western style clothing, with Western hairstyles. Furthermore, note the lack of veils on the women Now compare it with the picture below, the common perception of Afghanistan from the mid 90's.

    Cold War

No, their intentions weren't entirely noble. Modernisation and socialist reforms was one aim. They also wanted to expand their influence into central asia. But the fact still remains that the US today is fighting that same backward ideology that it trained and supported in the 80's -...

    Cold War

America is reaping what it sowed. As I remember, the soviets tried to modernise Afghanistan and promote education and equal rights for women. The militant Islamists did not like this so overthrew the Soviet backed goverment - who then requested help from the soviet allies. That's when the...
