I have to say I am not comfortable with Iran possessing nuclear weapons.
I would not think twice about condemning a war with Iran for every other reason. But for nuclear weapons, I am not so sure.
I think turkey is committed in buying the F-35. An expensive but inevitable choice. I still believe the plane is inferior to expectations, but still a new generation plane with new capabilities. Capabilities that the EF does not have.
A few seconds really. However, it is not true that the AESA seeker head is immune to cranking. There are limits to the angles the AESA seeker can cover, still however, it is a welcomed step forward.
Since the ship is going to be built, the addition of this capability is important. It is not obviously not going to be used as a typical carrier, not even like the UK carriers were used. But it is an important operational capability for a number of reasons.
Seeing what is happening to us, you were better off, I don't think the Germans are up to no good. If you just knew what they are asking of us you would not believe it!
My grandfather fought the Germans for 6 whole years during the WW2. I don't think he would be happy now they got in through the back door.
we can all just wait and see how this is going to go now.
Exactly as you said for the first part.
Noone denies that Turkey is doing fine while Greece is struggling. I am not so sure if however the current events are something that Turkey should be happy about.
Greece & Turkey have been a very very powerful bipole in the region for the last 30...
Turkey's official stance is that the Greek islands should have no insular shelf.
That is pretty major.
But nonetheless, it is policies, i think working men have come along way in good relations the last 40 years even after the cyprus invasion.
No you didn't and we all hope it is good for all of us.
You seem to have a problem. Greeks are not racist. Issues with the Turkish foreign policy doesn't mean much to how good relations have been for a number of years now.
If you look past the 6 or 12 miles, trade and commerce and tourism...
Not so smart. Greek air force is amongst the highest ranking in Nato and the world in general when it comes to capability and pilot skill training.
When you downsize like that you lose a lot more than a few planes.
Not to mention that the planes we paid for and hence we should have gotten...
This is a common theme throughout turkish conquests, the local indigenous populations are absorbed first through religion and then through the erasure of ethnic backgrounds slowly, indigenous populations forget their ethnic backgrounds and identify as turkic.
ohh... you are opening a can of worms here buddy. Let me put it this way. The present day turks, especially the ones who live now on near east (i.e. the Mediterranean basin) have very little in common (genetically) with the turks who invaded the land about 1000 years ago.
I never investigated the EF2000 FCS controls in particular. I have no idea what it is supposed to do. I don't see how the canards of the EF2000 can be stealthy managed though. If you can find some source I would be more than happy to read it.
It isn't quite so. And it happens to step into an area of my expertise.
First of all, the canards are not added to the design for the reasons you mentioned. The aircraft is designed from scratch with canards.
Canards become the main control surfaces just as the tail planes are on other...
I'd rather go into battle with a gay guy who knows what he is doing next to me, than a full macho guy who doesn't know anything and will get me killed.
I don't care what the guy does in his private time, so long as he knows how to follow orders and he is there with me covering me when some...
