That looks like quite the step-up from existing systems except for the c-802 which it seems on par with.
I remember kale group developing mini jet engines for missiles, is there a chance the TR40 will be replaced with a local one?
I thought the EJ2000 was mainly developed by Rolls Royce back in the day and the new engine proposed by Kale and Rolls Royce joint venture would be at least based on some of the design of the EJ200. That's why I think they could be used in the prototypes. Otherwise it will take over a decade to...
But the engine doesn't have to be ready for a first flight. They could fly it with the engine that the new one will be based on (which will probably be the ej2000 tbh). These things happen, isn't that how China is doing it at the moment or am I mistaken?
Vey eye opening that the top brass is this torn between whats going on in Syria. But the article did get some pretty key facts wrong about the Syrian stuff (like Afrin and Manjib) so I'm not sure if I should believe the rest too.
But no one said anything about serial production (which is scheduled for 2030+ at the moment). They want a flyable "something" at 2023, probably the first prototype. Just a brief 5 minute flight etc. No idea if they can pull it off but they're not aiming for serial production at 2023.
Unfortunately it's been 10+ years and I can't remember specifics. But the gist of it was that it wasn't economically feasible to dig out the oil at this price point - and ever since then oil has been getting even cheaper. For example there were numerous wells that shell etc. had dug out to...
I thought so too, o I did some research and it seems it's the norm for these kinds of deliveries. They use a refueling plane that accompanies them which is generally called "dragging". Very interesting stuff.
The first transatlantic for the F35 seems to be an Italian who's done it in 7 hours...
Neither are hybrid, both are fully electric. Also Tesla isn't the only electric car available - there's tons in the market including cars manufactured in Turkey.
I think embracing new technology instead of shunning it and going isolationist is a better move as it helps the market to compete...
Turkey does have huge amounts of explored and estimated reserves. The problem has to do with expenses. Unfortunately because of Turkey's geography the reserves are generally very deep and expensive to dig out where as if you stumble upon a rock in Saudi Arabia oil bursts out. This is the real...
Is it typical to fly jets trans atlantic to be delivered? I thought these kinds of deliveries where done by ship to a closer port and flown from there.
Do you have any info on whether these are to supplement the Eurosam (not sure if I got the name right) project we are working on with Italy and France or are they just stop gaps till Eurosam gets here.
Also what's the range on number 1 (Hisar U?)?
I still don't get how reporters get this simple fact wrong. We're looking to drop our F4 fleets and replace them with the F35. The F16 replacement will be the TFX. In fact the first squadron of F35s are actually on older F4 squadron that was dismissed because the planes were retired (IIRC).
