Hmm.. I wouldn't say that. The tsunami affected Aceh - Indonesia the worse, and they're pretty religious people. Even the Northern states of Malaysia was lightly brushed by the tsunami, and I can assure you there are not much homos here. Natural disasters don't choose their victims.

If that's what you feel is best for your country, I respect that. Who said I agree with China a 100%? Every country has it's flaws, no one is perfect. Even India has it's flaws. But more than anything else, I really admire East Asia's economic performance (China, Singapore, Hong Kong)...

I have been to India a couple of times including a backpacking trip to South and North India. I know how "diverse" your country is. Personally, I don't find the people as diverse as being said here. India is a uniquely beautiful place though, I'll not deny that.

Relax. At the end of the day, you would know better about your country than I would. I'm just giving suggestions. Don't know what extra freedom you have compared to the Chinese though.

I've been to India before. You're a country of many languages, many castes but one race. You're all Indian race. Malaysia is a country of many languages, religion and races. But perhaps you're right. It's a very different scenario. Especially the population and size of the country...

With education of the masses, people will stop grouping themselves according to races. Much like they way all Americans view themselves as Americans despite their diverse background. It's ok to be proud of your race, but using it as a pretext of division of the country isn't the best way...

Ridiculous logic. Malaysia is a multi-racial society with quite a number of minority Chinese and Indians. We are more diversed than India. Everyone will have their rights in a centralized government if they consider themselves Malaysian first, above anything else.
