Interesting read . I suppose its difficult to manage army in a large country like india, having trouble borders with most neighbors unfortunately. Army also has to manage insurgencies going on at several places inside india. I dont blame indian army here.

Completely agree. There is a reason why all developed countries in world have civilian governments ruled by civilians. While third world countries have military rulers as evident from North Korea, Thailand etc etc

Good to see for the first time that Pakistan has adopted multi faceted foreign policy. They have engaged Iran and Saudis togather, also tried to get closer to Russia, good relations with China and Turkey as always. They need to maintain balance with US and everything will fall into place.

What a waste of time. Indians should only compare themselves with Nepal , Bangladesh or Pakistan. Countries smaller in population and area , just to make them feel better. However I strongly believe in the next decade of so india might not even be able to compare Her with these countries.
I think the hype about india is slowly fading away. From economy to foreign policy. They need to get out of this delusion of being "bigger and better" state of mind. The international community has slowly started to realize that it will take ages for india to become civilized.
