You want to stop us from coming because you have cheap tourist locations? Why would we go to India when the NHS is free? If we want quality then we can nip over to France. But hey it's your country feel free to change your immigration policy.

Because once they have broken the law, they become ghosts, don't pay any taxes and live below the radar. Prevention is better than cure. It aims to weed out those who plan to break the law.

The point is: People from India are coming into the UK and breaking our laws. That in itself is not cordial.

Sorry my post should have read committed rather than prevented. It is an inconvenience granted but people do get their money back. This system is by no means perfect and I do not think it will be implemented. However I would like to see something similar which deters people from overstaying...

Yes, I do think it is fair. We are targeting those countries most likely to commit crimes. If a murder has been committed in a city, would you conduct raids everywhere? Just recognises that people from particular countries are more prone to overstaying their welcome. Somehow I don't think many Swiss people overstay their visas.
