Copy and Paste, then boast about its superiority. Do we really believe that the Russians have exported a SU35 to China with the abilities of its own SU35?
It doesn't mean that you can't incorporate eastern tech into the jet. After evaluating the latest Russian jet, i'm sure it will lead to a broader input into TFX program.
One or two squadrons of SU57 will be enough as a stop gap measure also will be great for evaluation. Also like this hurjet on steroids idea. I think an east/west mix can only produce a more deadly TFX.
Well that's the excuse the Yanks are now using:
"Washington has repeatedly cautioned Turkey against the purchase of the S-400, warning it might be used to covertly obtain critical information on the F-35, including its detection range, which could then be relayed to Russia."
Perhaps only S400...
The US not wanting a country having both S400 and F35 says a lot. It has a little to do with sanctions on Russia but its mostly to do with being able to find the radar signature of the jets. In other words, you know exactly when your jets take off and land, and then pair them with the readings...
I think that the SU57 has suffered a lot from misinformation. Who is it that sets the principles of what a 5th Generation or 6th Generation fighter should be? America went down the stealth road, and the Russians went down another. Who is to say who is right but I remember when that amazing...
Su 57 is a good option for now, with TFX coming later. Its the perfect time as Russia is looking for customers and Turkey can also receive a taylor made package which can incorporate its own avionics and subsystems perhaps. And I'm sure it can all be fast tracked like the s400 systems perhaps...
Open a new thread on tank palet factory or Erdogan hating, because this is an altay thread. It seems there are a lot of Turkish member's more interested in politics than defence. Please note: this is a defence forum!
For many of us, what we love about those nations has a lot to do with what we saw in those leaders. I don't want to get the AK party bashers started, so i'll leave it there. :)
We shall continue this conversation some time, perhaps in sarajevo, i visit quite often. Here gets a little immature...
Turkey and Izetbegovic have one thing in common. They are both loved by outside muslims more than their own populations. I understand that the Bosnians perhaps see the benefits of Nato from a Bosnian perspective but I think the reality for Turkey is very different. Turkey at the moment has...
