Smart move. Hope they get permanent orders rather than just leasing deal.
Also that catapult launched uav they were first contracted for could fill a gap. Would be nice if someone actually developed one :(
BTRs still get used here & there at local karakols for perimeter security I think? Dunno man, I think they might offer better mobility and perhaps more protection vs atgms considering armor might be better?
Why? Some our guys ambitions are just stupid and not thought over. Just pumping PR stories, nothing else.
Seems like we want to make jets/cars/planes/etc but lack proper capabilities and local industry to supply all the needed parts in a timely fashion ;). Focus on building from the ground up...
@Combat-Master
Don't know if it's lighting or not but Atak #23 seems to not be as brightly coloured as the other ones. Imo current colour scheme is good but it should look old/vintage, similar to this colour scheme.
It's true, there was an article on a Iraqi Kurdish website saying several Yezidi's had defected and joined up with newly formed PMU Yezidi militia and that just like KDP, PKK had pressured them and didn't allow them to travel to link up with PMU.
Seems like Yezidi's don't feel much for getting...
In some of the T-155 video's posted they often seem to take quite a while to load/target. Ofcourse this can be due to circumstances but an improvement could happen?
Wonder how MKEK feels lol, Aselsan outdoing them again with the Asya.
Hope to see application of Roketsan ERA on older tanks, ask them if possible guys.
I think our expectations are shaped wrongly due to recent developments in COIN and Syria (Firat Kalkani Harekati). Initially I thought the Alpagu was the evolution of the XQ-FI 06 but apparently it's a different project.
For what did we want/need S-UAV? Based on our previous combat history...

Isn't it a waste of resources if 2 companies are working on competing systems? Competition is always good but I mean it more in the sense of both trying to re-invent the wheel (since we're starting from the ground up) instead of focusing manpower on something else?
