I tried to have a meaningful argument with some Dutchmen, about why Turkey is attacking YPG, but they just responded with 'AAAH YOU ARE CONNECTED TO DIYANET SPY'.
There are just some incursions here and there, no wide scale offensive movements. Maybe The Turkish army main strategy is that of attrition, weakening the YPG over a prolonged period, while making minor advancements.
I think the primary concern is minimizing losses. A blitzkrieg style attack would lead to a lot of material and human losses. They're effectively besieging Afrin, waiting for it to collapse.
I know, not every soldier needs a scope, but ampoints and/or eotechs are always better than iron sights. My only explanation is that these aren't available in enough numbers.
It was a tactical retreat, propably ordered by TSK. Nothing wrong with that. The operation has begun, but the major attacks haven't. We're just testing them.
