On paper the LCA is superior the JF-17, you would have to be an idiot to argue otherwise. However as of yet I don't think there is any proof that Pakistan has actually contributed towards any of the JF-17s parts. In fact the Su-30MKI is more Indian than the JF-17 is Pakistani.

Sigh, The official was misquoted or quoted out of context, the Tejas to be inducted in 2014/15 is the Mark II version. The first squadron of LSPs (Mark I) will be inducted at best end 2010, but most probably early 2011. There is no Chinese or Italian AESA for fighter aircraft yet. AESA...
