i seriously feel that a tank commander's job is very tough..... just imagine in a battle field ... a commander has luk out for targets.... control the driver by commands ....assign the targets to the gunner..... plan techniques to inflict max damage on enemy and also save himself and his crew...

commander and gunner have separate sights........ mk1 had day/night sight for gunner and only day sight for commander ..... so mk1 loses its hunter/killer capability at night ...... but mk2 will have day/night sights for both commander and gunner...... so its not totally night blind and it...

but wud it be of any use as it cannot provide the thrust IAF is asking for ...... also the new engine competition for tejas mk2 is also on.....
