As I'm sure you are aware, one of the considerations while forming Cold Start was to give the IA the advantage of operational tempo. With eight self-contained IBGs capable of simultaneous, independent offensives, the PA would be facing up to eight thrusts into its territory in the outbreak of...
Don't get me wrong, when used on the internet "chink" is almost always derogatory.
I'm just saying that there are cultural reasons behind why you see it so often, and why some Indians aren't bothered in using it.
It is diffucult to prove, and I'm not sure if I can do it. I am just saying that not all Indians may understand the significance of "chinky" as a racist term, that is all. It's kind of like "****". Some consider it racist and others just consider it a shortened version of "Pakistani".
What kind of question is that? Officials and mainstream media don't use colloquialisms.
My own parents and friends have used the word "chinky" in a colloquial manner and they are not racist. Even I used it before I came to the West.
No, it's not bullcrap, and don't talk about things you have no idea about.
In India people don't even consider the word "chinky" to be racist, and not everyone uses the proper word which is "cheena/cheeni".
Well, I don't take screenshots every time someone insults India or Indians, but since you've asked I'll take a few screenies while browsing the forum and post them here later.
Maybe you haven't, but other Chinese members have called Indians "slumdogs", "dark subhumans", etc.
My point is, it's not worth worrying about those people.
This isn't meant as a justification for what other Indians said, but in India "chink" itself isn't really considered racist. Lots of people use the world without malice to describe Chinese people. You have to look at the context to determine racism, like if they add "slant-eyed" or something...
Okay, let's make it absolute.
I don't post anything that is meant to demean Chinese people or Chinese culture. I have and will post stuff that is against the CCP and its policies.
Happy?
You have stated many times before that the views expressed by the Indians on this forum are indicative of the general Indian population. I am telling you that they are not. The average Indian doesn't care enough about China to even discuss it. There are millions of things that are much more...
