Re-Equipment Ceremony of No. 26 Squadron of Pakistan Air Force

You are absolutely correct. I mistakenly have replied to digressions from the topic of this post. Accordingly I am now self deleting my off topic responses. My apologies and I hope the Administrations will now exercise their responsibility to remove off topic initial remarks I mistakenly...

It was then and remains now my opinion that the lack of spare parts when the US and our other allies cut off resupplies of same to both India and Paksitan made continuation of the 1965 War logistically impossible. Despite the fact that the armed forces of both nations fought bravely and...

    American mediation on Kashmir

A historic fact that India having chosen to remain a secular nation was destined, bound to succeed, as a democracy. In spite of geographic, ethnic, racial, religious and other differences, democracy and being part of the free enterprise system, which creates jobs and builds economic...

    American mediation on Kashmir

As repeatedly stated defacto the Andorran Model is being applied starting during the Musharraf era and continues as it makes sense both to India and Pakistan today. Confidence Building Measures are the keystone of the Andorran Model in it's incubation stage. ISI supported Taliban terrorists...

    American mediation on Kashmir

A retired Pakistani diplomat who was the @x Great Grandson of a former King of Afghanistan was a protege of Z. A. Bhutto...and his retired Paksitani diplomat initiated e-mail dialogue with me, which I appreciated and enjoyed, from end of 2001 until around 2003 when he "went silent." He had...

    American mediation on Kashmir

You overlooked that the US and Europe suffered attacks from the same terrorists groups now headquartered in Pakistan. So of course the War on Terrorism is about both Afghanistan and Pakistan terrorists being subdued and ended.

No, I was not a pilot. I was opeations support for the entire USAF base at Badabur, suburban Peshawar. In Karachi I was operational support for the RB-57 (which replaced the U-2 in June, 1964. My tour of duty was 193-1965 in then West Paksitan. Thanks for your note.

    American mediation on Kashmir

The US does not have and never has had a dog in the fight over Kashmir. But most in US policy making circles, bipartisanly, defacto, favor the Andorran Model, which is peaceful, in no way using or advocating violence.

    American mediation on Kashmir

    Z. A. Bhutto in my young first hand experience was a corrupt, arrogant, and self assured fellow who thought the Indian military of the 1965 era would be a "push over." Z. A. Butto had a now deceased dear friend of mine (much older), now deceased, retired RAF Air Vice Marshal P. G. K...

    American mediation on Kashmir

Of course the year is now 2011 and pulling back to the pre-war boundaries was never completed. The Rann of Kutch (where I was wounded January 30, 1965 in a skirmish where our PIA Land Rover innocently drove into a skirmish between Pakistani and India forces) was where the first "flash" took...

Yes, I corrected the date sequence in my original post, but you choose to copy and repeat my posting today before I corrected the date. Sorry for my typos, which happen more than I would like due to arthritis in hands and occasional rigamortus in my aging brain!

Re-Equipment Ceremony of No. 26 Squadron of Pakistan Air Force

In response to Qasibr post herein: I can assure you as a retired USAF officer with younger friends, commissioned and non-commissioned, all ranks, both US and other NATO allies, that we have no interest in staying in SW Asia one minute longer than is necessary to see some local national...

    American mediation on Kashmir

While it is true that the old USSR mediated in 1966, that mediation for all practical purposes was unhelpful. During the 1965 War, the Soviet Union adopted a neutral stand and offered its good offices for a peaceful settlement between the two warring states. The Prime Ministers of India and...

    American mediation on Kashmir

As an American who once worked in both Karachi and Peshawar I can tell you "we Americans" want the people of all parts of Kashmir, PAK, IAK, and CAK, to choose what they want, which includes status quo, independence from both Pakistan and India, and of course my recommended, down to earth...

Kiyani Demands US Limit Drone Attacks and Operations

What is a disgrace to Pakistan's soverignty is the existance of terrorists, Taliban jihadists and al Qaida, within N. parts and elsewhere within Paksitan. These thugs and murderers are the enemy of all Pakistanis and the incommon enemy of Pakistan, Afghanistan and NATO.

    Davis case - Pyrrhic Victory

How about focusing on the 40,000+ murdered by the Taliban and al Qaida in both Pakistan and Afghansitan? Mr. Davis was a victum of a failed stick up, nothing more. The public was misled into a wild goose chase to divert real attention from the massive suicide murders and intra-Muslim killings...

Why Islam took a violent and intolerant turn in Pakistan

Instead of a blasphemy law, which is about as backward in ideology as one can be, what about an amendment to the Pakistan Constitution declaring the nation to be sectarian and all religions to be protected and allowed to co-equally exist without interference as long as such religons are...

    Former Taliban Members Renounce Terrorism

And just what do Afghans look like? The descendants of the army of Alexander the Great people parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. And what do they look like? Like here in the USA people come in all shapes, sizes, colors. There is no one sterotype that I am aware of.
