because f-7 is a copy of mig-21 which is not even considered a plane but an unlicensed version of mig-21...also we had near about 683 mig-21's and after the breakdown of soviet its spare parts became nearly impossible to have......

also yes the mig-21 were getting outdated and the russian spares werent that good.....but dont forget what they did to f-104 starfighters..
