Even if they have many SAMs, they don't have enough platforms to shoot down all of them. Especially in saturation attacks as you saw in Crimea with their HQ getting hit. Or the lost of their ship and submarine. I mean you see even on Russian mainland getting hit as well since they can't cover...
Ukraine retaking the oil and gas platforms as well as the surrounding waters. Something they lost back in 2014. How fortunes reversed. And considering that now Ukrainians have the ability to hit back the Russian Navy and from afar as well even without a fleet of their own to match against...
Or more losing more Russian ships along with more dead Russians.
@jhungary
Is the U.S. also providing F16s? Helps to provide a united front with the aircraft while the other European countries are providing theirs. Also aren't there some Aussie F-18s that were going to retirement as well...
You think its a senseless and endless war, depending how the Russians want to to end the war. Ukrainians will keep on fighting until the Russians leave just like you saw in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. U.S. is not the only ones contributing since many other countries like the Baltics and...
LOL! Even during the American Revolution the colonists didn't fight just on their own dime with help from France to Spain and so on. Same for the Afghans during the Soviet-Afghan war. Or even during the Vietnam war when the Russians supported the North Vietnamese heavily even provided fighter...
Doubt the Ukrainians would demilitarized themselves to be easily invaded again by Russia especially led by Putin. Not to mention with the technology the Ukrainians have gained from NATO equipment, modern Russian equipment and even the Shahed kamikaze drones provided by Iranians which allowed...
Russia hasn't achieved its goals. Russia still fighting.
And yet Ukrainians are willing to kill thousands of Russians each month to make them pay for it. Not to mention tens of thousands more wounded. To the point that their favorite Wagner mercenary group turned against their own and forced...
Russia would lose everything in Ukraine if they test it.
No they haven't. They had increased production especially artillery rounds. You can ask the Russian troops getting killed today or recently.
Does that same method applies to fighting the Taliban with multiple countries fighting it and lost? Perhaps conventional warfare is something U.S. is better at.
Wouldn't matter since that's on Ukraine's ability to deal with it, not the U.S. Army. I mean the Russians already have their own problems with their own tanks. Couldn't even spare 1 modern tank in their parade recently.
Why would we worry about that? There are destroyed Abrams in Iraq during the 2003 invasion as well as by Iraqi Army when they had their own Abrams. You don't make sense. The only reason the U.S. was hesitant about sending Abrams because of the logistics of having so many different tanks...
The only weapons you saw delivered early in pre war and just into the war were Javelins, NLAWs and other atgms from various countries besides ammo, body armor, etc. Long before HIMARS, M109s, M777s, Storm Shadows, etc.
