Perhaps Al-Jazeera wanted to avoid another round of arrests of their journalist / sanctions from Israel. If I'm not mistaken, Israeli authorities sometime ago arrested a journalist last summer who has yet to be released.
Are you sure that these videos were shot in North Korea? While I have no doubts of Western propaganda vilifying North Koreans, I'm surprised to see a Mini as those are not exactly cheap. I'm also surprised that these videos were allowed to be taken.
Children of Men
Forgotten all about Day After Tomorrow but ok
On that note, 28 Days Later is another good one. I don't remember much of the sequel 28 Weeks Later. Resident Evil series which was ruined by Hollywood (big fan of the games).
More sci-fi that I just remembered:
Space...
There's also Battlefield Earth starring John Travolta. :bad:
There's the disaster genre:
Armageddon (1998)
Deep Impact (1998)
Also, Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy
Dune (1984)
Dune (2000)

The second one is Contact.
Yup. It's not bad at all. As for the X-Files movie, it was ok. The movie missing something which the TV Series had. I'll admit that the last two seasons was crap.
Another Sci-Fi comedy, Galaxy Quest (1999) a parody of Star Trek.

Again, not all movies are good but it's sci-fi:
Saturn 3 (1980)
The Black Hole (1979) - can't believe Walt Disney made this one
Solaris (2002) - just weird IMO
Super Nova (2000) - another weird one
Event Horizon (1997)
The Last Starfighter (1984)
The only problem is that you'd have your car tires slashed if you bought bread from a certain vendor.
Iran should take advantage of this by lowering their price for the time being.
Prometheus
Alien prequel this summer.
Listing out some sci-fi movies; not all are good.
I, Robot.
A.I. Artificial Intelligence

Unity requires a common cultural/social background. The European Union is a good start. The EU problems are results of people not doing their due diligence.
Well, since you revived an old thread...
TV:
Anything sci-fi:
Babylon 5
Star Trek (a little too utopian at times)
X-Files (the series turned 5h!t when David Duchovny left)
Farscape (ok)
Lexx (just odd)
Dr. Who (Tom Baker)
Non-scifi:
Married with Children (a bit crass but funny)
CSI...
