Pakistan 26 squadrons by 2010 VS India 26.5 squadrons by 2015.

No offence, but I dont think Pak can afford enough EFTs to really make any difference. Also I dont think the Gripen can match up to the Su-30MKI in air-to-air. India only has a remote chance of choosing the F-18 because of ToT problems and sanctions. Even if India chooses the F-18, I doubt...

hey sancho, did the saudi offer include ToT? The French did mention that they intend to go beyond a buyer-seller relationship. Any news on what sort of relationship they meant? Also, is the option for 64/74 more aircraft for the navy?

Guys, can we please stop discussing about MiG-29 and F-16 crashes and return to the topic at hand? Thank you.

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

Yes, the F-22 has a 97% sortie rate. But then it was a Lockheed official who said that the F-22 has to undergo an average of 30 hours of maintainence for 1 hour of flight. I also accept the fact that the F-22 has a RCS the size of the pellet, so the $44,000 hourly cost is to a certain extent...

HAL Tejas | Updates, News & Discussions

Atleast India is making an effort. Many things in the LCA are indigenous. All major systems of an aircraft like engine, radar, AAMs are currently being developed in India. Sadly, delays in some of these programs have forced India to seek foreign help. At any rate, there are more Indian systems...

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

The following extract is from an article about the F-22 Raptor in wikipedia: Moreover, the F-22s are newer than the MiG-29s. Anyway, why are you deviating from the topic? This thread is comparing the capabilities of the F-22 and PAK FA. Like I said before, please post in the concerned thread.

    FGFA / PAK-FA (T-50) Vs F-35 JSF

We can only compare the RCS of the PAK FA and F-35 after both are fully developed. However, I think the PAK FA will be able to detect the F-35 first. Although the above article is a comparison of the PAK FA with the F-22, I think it will apply to the F-35 as well.

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

MiG-21s entered service in the IAF around 1963. That means all MiG-21s in service with the IAF is way past their expected service life. Just because these old MiG-21s crashed doesn't mean that the MiG-21 is not a capable platform and that cannot mean that Russian products are below standard. In...

    MIG-29K Thread

For your information, the MiG-29s have a good operational record in India. In fact, our existing MiG-29s are being upgraded while the Indian Navy has placed an order for MiG-29Ks. By the MiGs which crashed if you mean the MiG-21s, I don't see how that is related to this topic.

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

Russia does have a smaller defence budget than the US and that is the reason why many of the Russian projects have been plagued by funding difficulties. If Russia did have a bigger budget, I am sure they could have achieved much more. To make my example clear, I would like to take the example of...

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

I admit that that Rachel's report may not be very reliable. But if you atleast had the patience to "glance" through my posts, you would have seen that my coments were not on the basis of that video (I did however post a link to the video because the report seemed to check out with many other...

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

This just keeps getting better and better... The following is an extract from a report I found in thecable.foreignpolicy.com: If the F-22 is as incredible and invincible as you claim to be, why is Obama and the White House ashamed of it?:lol:

PAK FA vs F22 Raptor : A Detailed Analasis

Gambit, if the F-22 is indeed "invulnerable" to water/rain as you said, then please tell me why your own country and government are trashing it. The facts that I stated were from an American website. The video is also American.
