The MiG-35 is a further development of the MiG-29K ordered by the Indian Navy. MiG-29s are already operated by the IAF, so these can be inducted with minimal expenditure and changes to infrastructure. It supposedly has smokeless engines and comes with the Zhuk AE AESA. 3D TVC comes as an option...
IMO, the naval MRCA will be influenced by the IAF's MRCA decision, if they choose naval capable aircraft like the Rafale. This helps in cutting costs for logistics and training... I feel Rafale will be the winner of both competitions if the French don't quote too high a price.
This issue has already discussed about the MiG-25. But you seem to be too lazy to even go through all the posts. If you didn't know, both the MiG-25 and MiG-31 are interceptors. I suggest you first understand what an interceptor is and what it's intended role is. For starters, why not try...
It is reasonable to buy them if the Rafale is the winner of the MRCA competition. But then, there seems to be no word of the price for which they are offering them(the 40 Rafales).
I did not mean that the F-15 program started as a response to the MiG-25. The USAF stated their requirements for an air superiority fighter in 1965. The first concept designs had a top speed of Mach 2.7 and a thrust to weight ratio of 0.75. But it was during the F-15 development, (1967 to be...
I may not be an expert, but here's something I found:

The moveable LERX of the T-50 is said to enhance manuverability in a way similar to canards. Canards however are bad for stealth. The moveable LERX enhances manuverability without compromising stealth.
This has already been discussed in this thread.

If the US has clearly outclassed the Russians in every aspect, why don't you give the great American equivalent or superior aircraft of the Yak-41?
Please note that I am not trying to prove that the Russians are superior to the US in every sphere of development. I am just saying that the...
Did you even read my post? What sort of a comparison is this? The MiG-25 is a 3rd generation fighter. It was designed as an interceptor, not as an air-superiority fighter.
In 1967 U.S. intelligence was surprised to find that the Soviet Union was building a large fighter aircraft, the MiG-25...
I was unable to find anything in my search, so I posted what you said in the MRCA thread. Here are some of the responses I got from some members who really keep track of every minute detail in the MRCA deal:
You are comparing two aircraft which have comletely different roles.
The SR-71 was a reconnaisance aircraft while the MiG-25 was an interceptor. The SR-71 was developed from the YF-12 which was a prototype interceptor. The SR-71 was designed to use its raw speed advantage to escape from enemy...
@ Indiarox
Good one..
Sorry, I forgot about the F-16 MATV. So I guess that's 1 vs 6? Russia still seems to be much ahead here. Anyway, it is only a test-bed and not an aircraft fielded by the USAF. Guess what, Russia deploys the Su-35 and is offering the MiG-35 for exports - both use 3D...
