IMO, the naval MRCA will be influenced by the IAF's MRCA decision, if they choose naval capable aircraft like the Rafale. This helps in cutting costs for logistics and training... I feel Rafale will be the winner of both competitions if the French don't quote too high a price.

I never said the MiG-25 didn't have BVR. I said it's BVR ability is limited compared to the F-15. I agree with you about the MiG-31.

It is reasonable to buy them if the Rafale is the winner of the MRCA competition. But then, there seems to be no word of the price for which they are offering them(the 40 Rafales).
