Most of Pakistan definitely wants democracy.

We do have China which is pretty much the closet to the US in terms of being a superpower. They could probably be our only ally and we still would be pretty safe.

Perhaps the next stage would be establishing an overseas base? Maybe Sri Lanka or in the Gulf?
