    I was talking about constellation for earth-observation role. By the way, Gagan system is not as accurate as US military grade GPS, is limited to South Asia, and will fail if the US / Russia decide to suspend GPS / Glosnass signals.

    This is a combination of AESA / phased array radar and anti-missile / anti-aircraft defense. India already has BMD prototype ready, so making such a system should be very much within reach.

    What is the fuss? The resolution is obviously lower than for LEO satellites. A constellation of LEO satellites providing 24 x 7 global coverage would have been news-worthy.
