OK i got the answer, from a guy in Air Force. Pilots who are not on active flying duty are posted to UAV squadron. Normally 2 pilots are flying the UAV. one fly the bird, and other handles the sensors. flying hours are also logged accordingly.

I agree, Army does not need Appaches, rather more AH-1f or an upgraded model of cobra helos. There was a plan to upgrade cobra helicopters, but no one knows what is the latest on that. I think AH-64 is best suited for anti armour ops and not req for COIN ops. as it will prove to be overkill...

Good to hear that. what is the type of helicopter overhauled by this aviation workshop, now as the 125th helo. This base workshop has the capability to over haul all helos in Army except American helicopters.

There is one aircarft missing in the list. Thats Allouette III helicopter owned by Askari Aviation with CAA registration no AP-BGA. This helicopter was initially owned by Army, but later Askari Aviation purchased it from Army and it was registered/certified by Civil Aviation Authority.

Bell Ranger III, is infact Bell Jet Ranger II model owned by Edhi Air Ambulance Services. Bell 206L3 Long Ranger, is not registered with Civil Aviation and it is owned by Pakistan Rangers, Punjab. It is registered with Army.
