China is a great friend of ours.... but that doesn't mean that China can and will establish military bases all throughout the Indian Ocean rim to protect our shipping.... China has her own challenges with their shipping (mainly energy and mineral supplies from the Middle East and Africa)...

I guess you know that 90% of our foreign trade is done through the sea.... and almost all of that comes and goes outside the Bay of Bengal..... so, you let India protect our sea lanes outside the Bay of Bengal?

hmm.... again, I wasn't actually talking about Guderian's tank battle history.... to talk of history, we can go on and on - how Hitler approved the Manstein plan, or Hitler's halt order before Dunkirk..... or his decision to divert forces to the Caucasus during the Battle of Stalingrad...

this is a good discussion.... starting to like it.... :D the thing that I was trying to bring in is not about whether tanks are designed the way warfare is done, or whether warfare is designed the way tanks can be designed.... rather, I was trying to bring in the topic of how warfare is...

hmm.... so, if Heinz Guderian didn't invent the tank, who did?.... and what was he thinking?.... is Guderian's tank really a tank, or something else?.... because the guy who conceived a tank didn't want it to do what Guderian wanted.... so, if Guderian's theories hold today, it needs to be seen...

on the other hand, we're worried about India keeping itself together..... India's realization of their reality (especially on the eastern side) makes us feel sad about India.... we are very enthusiastic and friendly people.... we can help India survive as a state (which we are actually doing...

exactly! trade route protection can only be achieved by the formation of longer-range naval units.... there's no option to rely on others to do our job.... that would make us dependent on others (especially India).... and that would be bye bye to a powerful Bangladesh....

I have underlined the reason why they are allowed to own carriers today.... if one of them challenge the Western ways globally, the whole game changes.... a carrier in the hands of China or Japan is not the same as in the hands of Korea or Thailand.... which is why flat-tops in the hands of...

well, I don't know what you call bank accounts.... but when GoB is building a $3 billion bridge with foreign currency, it surely looks anything like that.... and what good is an account when you can't cash cheques?..... it seems like ours isn't an account.... yet we are writing cheques...
