India will be Taliban's next target: Ex-NSA Narayanan

Yes, being professional is different from being in that profession. To comment on trade, I don't have to be a trader.

It is not the question of cut n paste. You don't have to live every profession to talk about that profession. There are historical records, there is data, and there is statistics to say whether particular thing is bad or good.

India will be Taliban's next target: Ex-NSA Narayanan

Not at all. Trade is never one sided. Trade is done based of comparative advantage. If trade would have been evil, except US and some western countries, all the other country in the world would have been finished long time ago.

Yes, India wants to be extremely nice to Pakistan. India wants free flow of trade between the countries so that both our population flourish. We cannot be held hostage to history. We have to move on. India has learned to move, but Pakistan has not.

Give up that suicidal tendency. Learn to live. The fun is there in living and not in dying.

Nobody does anything for other. We live for us. The point here I am making is that you cannot make peace with others by pointing a gun towards the other's forehead. Here, in this case, the gun is Taliban.

There is no blame game here. RIP to all who were killed by Taliban in the last ten years. Taliban is a monster, and Pakistan has all the wherewithal to destroy these apes, but they are not doing so, since there is a section of Pakistan Army that believe Taliban to be strategic assets.

India will be Taliban's next target: Ex-NSA Narayanan

If you go by the definition: Pakistan is the occupying force and not India(The same is also mentioned in UN resolutions). India was invited by the king to thwart the Pakistani invasion into Kashmir. Anyway, 'Kashmir is oppressed' has become rather cliché' and boring. And will you be clear in...

China reveals its cards for investing $20 billion in Pakistan

I don't think it is as simple as 'you use that money and buy my products and service' . There is also the question of at what price you are going to buy my products and services. And I think in the long run, Pakistan is going to loose. But yes, it is win-win because given the security...

India will be Taliban's next target: Ex-NSA Narayanan

Any blowback in Indian including Kashmir from Taliban will be squarely blamed on Pakistan. This will further isolate Pakistan from international community making it, as MMS spoke in UNGA, an epicenter of terrorism. So it in Pakistan's interest to stop these groups within your borders. You...

China reveals its cards for investing $20 billion in Pakistan

There is no rocket science here. With out bidding Chinese will be getting the assets for dead cheap, and at the same time will escape scrutiny of its investments. There is no delay in such projects because your government doesn't interfere or monitors lest it anger China thus putting future...

India will be Taliban's next target: Ex-NSA Narayanan

Unless, there is local support, these terrorist groups cannot survive. They may do something on the lines of 26/11, but cannot create havoc that they have unleashed in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

China reveals its cards for investing $20 billion in Pakistan

In short run good. As precious foreign reserves would be infused into Pakistani economy giving Pakistani government the reprieve from distress. In long run bad. As with out the bidding process, Pakistan is going to loose billion of dollars in income as it is selling its assets for cheap.

Is it time to create an ‘Asian NATO’?

For all the hype that surround China, it is relatively poor country with a per capita of just 6000 USD. There is a lot China has to do to get its population into the middle income zone. Wars are in nobody's interest nor does China pose the threat to US and west in a way that Soviet Union posed...
