From what was seen from these picture as whole, There are speculations that Bavar-373 actually consists of at least three missiles. One is Sayyad-2 (Which is already unveiled) for medium range-long altitude , one is Sayyad-3 (The red missile) for long range-long altitude, and one is Sayyad-X...
The Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) and Iran Electronics Industries (IEI) will join forces to develop and produce active- and passive-radar systems for civilian and military interests.
The joint venture is the first of its kind in the telecommunications field, as out of the two, Iran is...
It is established that the 1700km range mentioned can only be achieved with autopilot. The actual "communication range" of the UAV is 200 km (Which was described as "observation range" by the IRGC commander during his interview)
I don't think so. The barrel is too long to be the normal 105mm cannon Iran produces, and the shape of it is similar to the same 125mm gun seen on the other prototypes. I think this is an illusion because we have been seeing the gun covered with the IR covers.
No. But Iran shouldn't try to make "everything" domestically either. Even US imports a lot of its needs from abroad. Can't US make them at home? Sure it can. But the price of a Japanese product could be much less compared to the American product of the same quality. Iran should focus on its...
Wankel engines produce more power than a piston engine of their size will be able to. That's what makes them suitable for drones (which should be built as much compact as it can be)
That was back in 2006. And as you can see we didn't rely on them for the systems. We just wanted the process...
There are individual countries that have sanctioned MAPNA. But there is no UN sanction against the company. A full UN sanction would certainly hurt the company (not to mention the economy in the time where every non-oil export is very important)
Oh. Yes. My mistake.
If we indeed see the engine...
The main reason Defense Industries Organizations was established, was for Iran to gain self sufficiency in manufacturing her basic military needs. During the Iran-Iraq war, Iran's military suppliers were a handful of countries that sold her low quality military equipment ten times their price...
Those "crude" drones were more than enough to monitor several American carriers without being detected.

Definitely most of the parts are imported. There are only a handful of companies able to make electronic parts for tablets/mobiles in massive commercial scale.
