    river management should never be in substitute with water sharing treaty. We need both for water supply and controlling river erosion, and not just in teesta but all major rivers. I believe there was also a proposal from WB about jamuna river corridor. Which would be great but also costly

    I respectfully disagree with you. You said Dhaka has 22mn people thus metro is feasible. There are currently 6 lines being planned in Dhaka. In average 1 line will be for 3.66mn people. In that case there should be at least 2 lines in Chittagong for 7mn people. Even if we take aside this logic...
