You're right, however the French have SF units there and Macron made a verbal statement hinting that they are considering moving in. Either way as I stated the TSK would ultimately prevail and the French wouldn't escalate into a war with TR for obvious reasons (it can't do it alone).

This development is very odd, I didn't foresee the French moving into Syria in this capacity. Given that the US is pulling out, another western like minded power will step in to balance the influence. I don't think the West will allow Russia, Iran and Turkey to do with Syria as they please. Even...
