This makes me glad that Chinese and local engineers are working on the large road-building and infrastructure-building projects in Sri Lanka. I think in a few years all corners of the island will be connected to the capital by Chinese supported expressways!

Actually this is the path South Korea, Singapore took and now China is taking! Develop first, settle differences and politics later. When people have plenty of food to eat and money to spend, a job and a home. Then the nation can take the weight of all the extra pressure.

At close to 7% growth it looks like we will reach the Government's target of $4000 per capita (PPP$ 8000) before the stated target time of 2016. It is wonderful to have a Government leading the nation that actually understated their goal!
