I haven't seen Russian military moving tanks, only lighter armored vehicles, chechens also travel on BTR-82's. Possible due the fact that most of the Russian military units are in Ukraine.

Russian sources claim there is large number of long range SAM's deployed near Russian border and they fired missile barrage at those choppers & planes. I find it unlikely since that would mean Ukrainians deployed valuable SAM's on unsecure location.
