Three personnel martyred as PMSA launch sinks in Arabian Sea

@Ajaxpaul sorry for deleting your post, I thought you were being sarcastic as the post was made without a reference. I have retracted the warning but regrettably was not able to recover your post. My apologies.

Three personnel martyred as PMSA launch sinks in Arabian Sea

There is definitely the possibility that a call was made between the DGs but whether it lead to the rescue or it was made in the aftermath of the rescue is where I am skeptical, I am more inclined to believe it was a courtesy call for thanking the Indian Coast Guard. The news has been carried...

Three personnel martyred as PMSA launch sinks in Arabian Sea

Yes but that version of events completely contradicts the established SOPs for such scenarios. By the time the information would be relayed to the DG through various channels as ships or even their bases are not in direct comm with the DG, especially if he is abroad, the situation will already...

Three personnel martyred as PMSA launch sinks in Arabian Sea

They did not "call" the Indian Coast Guard for help, a mayday signal is broadcast on open frequency that all nearby vessels respond to. Its a code of honour of the seas. No sailor wants one of his peers to die by the sea. Gratitude to the Indian Coast Guard for their efforts.

'Missing' Pakistan operative Habib Zahir was in team that kidnapped Kulbhushan

Sure that perfectly explains why a high profile intelligence operative was on Linkedin since 2014. All high profile intelligence operatives advertise themselves on online media, posting CVs and looking for jobs whilst they are engaged in counterintelligence activities.

Good One General: Musharraf Covers for Nawaz Sherif

Its an absolute travesty, our governments are acting like children. They need to put their big boy clothes on and talk this out. Yeah, one of the first casualties in fact was an infant who died from shrapnel injury. Its absolutely terrible. The civilians on either side deserve better than...

Good One General: Musharraf Covers for Nawaz Sherif

That notion I could get behind, ideally I would like nothing more than to travel to the Indian South, then maybe to Dajeerling. I hear there are some wonderful routes for bike riders towards Laddakh that I would die to ride. But alas, neither side is prepared to accommodate the other so as to...

    Khalistan Movement

The point highlighted is where I would like to contest, the Taliban have not been "pushed back temporarily", they have been well and truly uprooted. The physical and social reality of FATA simply cannot furnish the space for them to reinsert themselves as they had after the American invasion. We...

Good One General: Musharraf Covers for Nawaz Sherif

Yes, your people's interests lie more towards romanticizing about their own supposed hegemony over the region. Pakistan really sticks them like a thorn in their side.

    Khalistan Movement

Sir when I first entered Bajaur back in 2008, I was told to jump off a hovering heli because they couldn't even spare the time of touching down as there were RPGs already flying around like sparrows. I landed in a fort that was the last bastion of Pakistan's sovereignty for an area extending...

Pak High Commission Staffer held for Espionage

I too have noted with grave concern, the departure of many members who made this forum such a vibrant community and encouraged discourse. There's no shortage of chest-beating jingo-maniacs on both sides but they hardly make for any fulfilling or interesting conversation. I am honoured that you...

Good One General: Musharraf Covers for Nawaz Sherif

Movies, I could fully agree to. I was referring more towards the political interest that Indians seem to have in Pakistan.

Pak High Commission Staffer held for Espionage

Sorry for being out of touch Sir, as you have already noted, we're living in times too eventful. Your government isn't making it any easier for us and I am already itching to retire. So work load, coupled with angst is really taking a toll on me. Good thing I got in touch with you today though...

    Khalistan Movement

Like many Indians on this forum and off it, I see you also make yourself out to be an expert on Baloch issues. Allow me to please set some things in perspective for you. If you think Khalistan was something, thank God you never had the misfortune of fighting the Taliban. They're a tough bunch...

Good One General: Musharraf Covers for Nawaz Sherif

India openly backs a man responsible for wholesale massacre of Makranis, Punjabis, Pathans and Hazara in Balochistan. He already travels on your nation's passport and India is deliberating on allowing him asylum in their country, "and no one seems to have a problem with it", to put it as...

Captain Roohullah of Army sacrificed his life for Pakistan during the operation

It's most unfortunate, what else would you like me to say? Or are you suggesting that the provision of ambulances is now also the responsibility of the Army? BTW, the Army did arrange for C-130 transport for the shuhada from localities close to operational airstrips.

Captain Roohullah of Army sacrificed his life for Pakistan during the operation

Don't try to politicize someone's death at least. The only reason that Ruhullah or any other shaheed officer is given more attention, as you point out is due to the fact that the bulk of them die aged 22-25, which in itself is a tragedy and therefore attracts more attention. Also Ruhullah had...

    Lesson of Musharraf's coup...

Historically, Military Rulers have used the oath as a pretext to assume power. The oath, which I am sure must be similar to the Indian one, has a provision that states that "I shall protect my nation from all threats, foreign and domestic". Military Rulers have often used this statement to...

Sir the way things have gone south in the last few months, I feel that even our next couple of generations might find visiting the other country, a task more difficult than conquering Everest.
