Wasim and Waqar were pure magic. There's been plenty of new guys with potential since but none that could fill in their shoes. Asif and Amir failed to live up to their potential, there is still hope for the latter to exonerate himself though. Recently, Hassan Ali has emerged as a very promising...
Yaar I'm still here on and off. Things are going well alhamdulilah. Busy as ever but just wanted some time to vent out and refresh myself so I started visiting the forum again. Still not quite as active as I used to be though.
Yaar the ST-9 is a beautiful weapon, but its challenging to manage...
The Taliban are nationalist but they will not allow the current regime to cultivate legitimacy at their expense. Their support to any projects, or rather their willingness to tolerate them is tactical at best. Their terrible attack in Mazar-i-Sharif while efforts were ongoing to set up talks...
Limited range, price, power cuts, road quality are a reality in Pakistan that limits the realistic prospect of electric car adoption. I am sure much, if not all of that is also true for India.
At this point, the govt is trying to attract investment and thus such policies are necessary. Similar incentives are also being offered to new entrants into the automobile sector. IT is a tax free sector in Pakistan. Similarly businessmen who set up their plants at new industrial zones are given...
The attack was handled very poorly as per reports coming in. Afghan forces opened fire on their own men during rescue and suppression efforts. It was the Beslan Massacre all over again where the rescuers ended up doing more of the killing than the attackers.
We're still using tax policies and scales drafted in the sixties. I tried getting myself a bike once, the bike itself was costing me US$ 5000 and the duty on it was levied to US$ 14,000. Makes no sense.
Automotive sector has to pay 200% the value of the vehicle in various taxes and duties...
For one there is the difference between Urban/Rural Car ownership as you pointed out. Car ownership is very concentrated in the ten largest cities of the country. Secondly, there is also the case of unregistered/smuggled cars which are legal in FATA, much of Balochistan and areas like Swat...
I wish you good luck for that.
Sure it exists, like my wife, Sonam Kapoor. She's just being illegally detained by the Indians. I'm sure you know her.
And the UK has condemned it? Like officially? Must have missed the memo, link please?
I should probably penalize you for derailing the thread...
Not in your delusional world where India is superpower 2020 and has a border with the USA with H-1Bs on arrival.
But on the map, totally different story. You're free to prove me wrong by crossing the border though. I promise to meet all the expenses of your trip should you succeed :-)
Air Travel and Automobiles are way too expensive in Pakistan owing to outdated tariff policies. That being said however, car ownership in Pakistan, even at existing rates is unreasonably high so there is no incentive for the government to revise tariffs and for automakers to demand change.
Pakistan is slowly moving towards according GB the status of a province. The people of GB would consider it an affront if Pakistan was to try and consolidate it with Kashmir. The locals have a very strong sense of identity and take immense pride in the fact that they broke away of their own...
Indians......:rofl::rofl:
Oh, I see. You must also avail visa on arrival facility from that border. I hear Indian trade with Afghanistan through the said border is really picking up. Great going guys, wonderful. I can see the opium coming from said border is doing wonders for you. Wish I could...
