I thought this had already been posted, otherwise I’d have done it a couple of days ago when Farooq tweeted about it.
It’s been known since the second trials that VT-4 was using a Pakistani Gun barrel. It’s basically the same one used in AZ, UG and AK series (although there were some minor...
The shape of the turret in the second picture is similar to AK turret shape, Type 85-IIAP has less of a curvature, so I assume they did get the additional steel plates as in AK.
I’ve seen these. Just note that Type 85IIM isn’t an actual designation, it’s Type-85IIAP and Type 85-UG.
And these photos are pretty interesting, because we were able to determine from them that the Type 85UGs might possibly be getting armored upgrades, at least for the turret, since the turret...
I’ve seen these armored hiluxs and land cruisers in depth. Even one taken apart into pieces. Crew Compartment protection is acceptable against small arms. Will not survive an IED at all. Engine compartment doesn’t have enough protection, only protected from the front, no protection on the hood...
FY-4 has been expected for AK-1 for a while, this mock-up confirms it.
This will likely be paired with a new Chinese engine and transmission (same one from VT-4) as the FY-4 will cause a considerable weight increase (also Ukraine cannot supply engines anymore). This AK-1 might even be equipped...
They were deployed to Sialkot at a more recent time, a certain incident just a couple of years back.
During Kargil, I’m not sure, from what I recall it was in the north so might have been jammu, don’t quote me on that though, haven’t been able to confirm yet.
I meant to elaborate more but the WiFi outtage last night hit me before i could, obviously that single sentence paints a weird picture. Nobody was disassembling or airlifting M109A2s across the border or into the mountains tops. I meant that they were used during the Kargil conflict and the...
M109A2s were also used during Kargil conflict.
Edit: not IN Kargil itself, during the conflict, I had meant to elaborate this more but a WiFi outtage happened, my bad.
Those are two if not three (unlikely) separate tanks in the photo, take a closer look at the locations and damage, and look at the back of the turret of the other one, it’s blown open. That’s not external damage, that’s a projectile blowing the armor outwards from inside.
That definitely makes sense, I forgot that 😂
PA did infact adopt Add-on cage and sandbag armor for its APCs and Type 59/69s during the WoT when they realized that they were vulnerable. A similar setup was showcased for the Al-Zarrar but I assume not enough were in use in the region to warrant...
Insurgents were able to take out at least 3 Al-Zarrars, with one getting a hole blown right through the turret (in the front, out the back), since there’s no extra armor on the turret (there is a thin additional layer of composite In later models + ERA, but neither was being used then for some...
The Al-Zarrar really was never even a good tank too begin with, it’s a necessity that came due to a need of numbers, I hope to god it doesn’t get used in combat before it retires. It’s glass cannon; a modern gun and ammunition and a modern FCS with thermals on a vehicle with nearly no...
I mean no offense, but don’t spread false information about things you know nothing about. And if you’re going to make claims, present sources. Otherwise I have no need to acknowledge or respond to this.
If the SSG is adopting the rifle, then we’ll see it eventually, but as it stands there has...
Now where are all those Pakistanis that were prematurely celebrating Taliban taking over Afghanistan and calling them our “Muslims brothers”
They’re quite literally no better than the Americans, perhaps even worst for us considering how they actually feel about Pakistan and how backwards and...
They have not. A very small number of AK-103s were bought, and that was it, the standard rifles are currently Type 56-IIMs and other modernized AKs. G3s are only in limited use, both need replacement.
Those were not 7.62x51 weapons, they were 7.62x39 Type 56-IIs And then they got rid of them on...
SSG uses 556 calibre. Why would they entirely switch their standard calibre? Makes absolutely no sense to go from a modern intermediate cartridge back to an older, larger and frankly less useful one (for CQB purposes). The only reason they might buy these is in specialized Rifleman roles in...
The problem is far bigger than that, that’s what I meant, Swat is just one part of it, what do you think is the endgame of all these “stupid decisions?” The endgame is to cause anarchy, how it would have been decades ago, where the provinces and people are too busy infighting to do anything...
