PAF has older jets so made sense to have more per squadron. Newer jets should have better availability. If we have ordered 20 J-10s as the leaks suggest then it will be one operational sqn and a few jets with ccs/ace.

No, that is not how serials work in PAF. We have similar examples in JF-17s as well. I could be wrong, but its when the aircraft is delivered to the PAF. I am guessing its happening when batches are delivered closer to the end of the year and thus the years are not in sync with the aircraft...

So we have 14 verified J-10Cs now in service. What is the 2nd squadron that will be taking delivery of the others or will all be going to Haiders for now to act as OCU? I was thinking the split might be 12 aircraft per sqn.

Why not? Your proposal doesnt make any sense man. Everyone should be free to move and do the best for themselves and their families after retirement. Who are you to put restrictions on anyone else?
