To be honest, I am an avid reader on the history of Thailand, namely the Ayudhaya period. The time period , which is rampant with countless wars to unite the land under one king reminds me of our own Senggoku Jidai period. One of my favorite Thai kings was King Rhamkhamhaeng of the Sukkothai...
Thailand also has a very potent air force, if I may add. Their land forces also have a long history in crushing / sedating separatist forces ranging form communist insurgency, to the Pattani separatists in the south. They are a potent force.
Thanks for the historical input...
Thanks for the input, Sir !
Amen / Ameen !
If i may refer to the Holy Q'uran,
[That man can have nothing but what he strives for; That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete.]
(An-Najm 53:39-41)
But don't forget the importance of arts and culture. A very good friend of mine, a Chinese history scholar and a post-doctoral researcher, is a visiting assistant professor at the university that i work at. His classes are usually filled to the brim; a lot of Americans love his 'China in films'...
