Oh the same old tripe citing animal rights or animal abuse which is nonsense cause those animals are very well taken care of. Lots of judges are morons who will go to a horse race or a dolphin show but frown on animals in temples.
I know a square root of phuck all -- But remember hearing how Indians see Elephants as holy...or something. So, surprised to hear about animal abuse. The Elephant seemed happy enough on TV. Then again I am no Elephant expert which counts for nothing.
Yes elephants are seen as holy, but a lot of Indians are also communists and rank materialists who see nothing holy about anything. Basically a lot of the controversy is seen as an attack on the culture of the country with every single festival under attack by progressives except for festivals of minorities.
So on Diwali they will complain of fire crackers and environment pollution, on Holi they will campaign against water usage, on Ganesh festival they will campaign against paints on statues and rivers and the ocean being polluted, on Janmashtami they will campaign against the heights of the human pyramids citing danger. They will rally against village festivals and temple performances.
Judges also collude with this and now it seems all original Indian culture is under attack by hostile forces under the garb of environment or one or other rights.
This is Ganesh festival which lasts 10 days with huge and small statues of God Ganesh all over the city worshipped and celebrated with musicals and theater and societal programs finishing in a grand finale when the God is bid goodbye and immersed in the sea or a water body.
So these Anti-India/ns , who are they? I know you have many Bangladeshis , do you guys have many Pakistanis too?
In turkey , name any nationality we have them now. With phucking 3 million Syrians on top of it now. Would be nice if they left bad Turkey for Great ____ etc
It was a few months back, she just said happy diwali. I kinda knew it was an indian festival, sou found it a bit odd, but didn't ask her what or why. Funny thing is, a lot of other Pakistanis were wishing her happy diwali too.
Is it celebrated by Pakistanis ?
How many of these festivals do you guys have? They all look fun. it's nice you kept your traditions for centuries. Impressive.
We decorate our malls in Christmas decor now, that's to please the 000.0001% of Christian minority. And the Muslims to make them feel better about themselves.
We are not into festivals much, but we have 3rd May turkist day. We celebrate kicking our minorities in 1944. I know, not really in the league of your thousands old festivals.
It's just an excuse for all us racist Turks to go out and chant how much we love being wolves , and to piss of commies too.
You won't believe, most anti-Indians/anti Hindus are Hindus themselves. A section of the society so deeply inculcated with hate for anything native. Then comes the Christians and elite Muslims. They work with each other to destroy everything native. During a few election campaigns a few pol parties paraded an osama bin laden look alike in hopes of luring Muslim votes.
Diwali is celebrated by Hindus in Pakistan. A small enclosed private fare. Pakistani elite though try to incorporate as many Hindu festivals as possible nowadays. Everything Hindu and Indian is actually copied. They eat, breathe, and live India all the while hating India. Obsessed with Bollywood, Indian fashion, rituals, festivals, even political gimmicks and policies.
If I ever need a positive feedback on anything India all I need to do is watch Pakistani news channels. They can't seem to do a show without talking about India or how successfully this or that has happened in India. Indian media hates on India, while Pakistani media cannot stop talking in admiration of something Indian.
This follows in their society too. They follow caste system more rigidly while it is waning in India. They follow Hindu wedding rituals and now the actual Nikkah ceremony is not considered significant but the Walima, that is the Hindu traditions they follow before and after Nikkah which is considered important.
There are festivals 365 days a year, though most are small and regional in nature. There are half a dozen big festivals which is celebrated Pan India. A lot of foreigners visiting India feel like India is always in a celebratory mode, from funerals to weddings dancing on the streets, drum beats, music processions and all.
Yes Malls decorate up for Christmas here too. Schools have started celebrating Christmas and no other festival. We are so secular that on federal levels we have 2 national holidays designated for each religion. So hundreds of Hindus festivals but 2 holidays, Christianity/Islam gets 2 holidays each too.
They even teach in schools Hindu gods are fake and Christian/Islamic gods are true in some states. That is just the cherry on the top of a huge secular dump.
