Can someone please tell me what's going on?
Well on 27th Oct llb result came and many were not satisfied with the result due to high amount of fail results in mercantile law for second year, labour in third year and languages and PPC for first years.
You see many complained that they had attempted all five questions ( which is considered the unsaid requirement to pass the exam) and wrote the introduction and conclusions ( another unsaid requirement ) yet they failed and the difference in marks for example getting 50+ in other subjects but in mercantile for example getting only 30.
On top of it all a video surfaced from the checkers where the checker was checking a 52 page answer sheet in 30-40 sec.
Of course this led to a few protests with jahangir baluch calling for it along with the jamiat leaders.
The demands are.
Waiver of supplement fees.
Extension of supply date
15 grace marks in mercantile and those that do not pass despite the grace marks will have their papers reevaluated.
5/10 grace marks in all subjects for all years. 45 are pass marks.
Examinations reforms and checker reforms.
Meetings happened and a couple of protest but the university didn't do much and today they did another protest and left the uni to block canal road and this led to media exposure and now they are again having talks. Looks like they got the extension in date.
I will be surprised if the uni agrees on grace marks. University doesn't give marks and giving marks is accepting we made blunders and are in the wrong and mujahid kamran the VC isn't the kind of guy that accepts mistakes on his part.
Let's see.
